John Kelly, PhD

John W. Kelly, PhD is the founder and Executive Chairman of Graphika, one of the world’s premier open-source intelligence providers founded on technology he invented that blends social network analysis, content analysis, and statistics to make complex online networks understandable. Dr. Kelly is also a recognized expert on advanced computational techniques for measuring online behavior. In recent years, he has worked with leading academics to design and implement empirical studies of the Internet's role in business, culture, and politics around the world, including at the Berkman-Klein Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University. Dr. Kelly also served two terms as a technical advisor to the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and has testified publicly about foreign interference in U.S. elections. A quantitative social scientist by training, he earned his Ph.D. in Communications from Columbia University, and has also studied at Stanford and the Oxford's Internet Institute, where he served as a strategic advisor. Dr. Kelly has spent decades on the frontlines of the fight for a secure internet. He continues that pursuit today by leading a team of business professionals and data scientists to bring new analytic technologies to market via the Graphika platform.
